In the Waiting Room

Laying here on a gurney, naked except for a robe. Reading my book thinking am I forgetting something? This feels so anticlimactic. Like I should be saying goodbye or a prayer or something! Well too late now! It’s time for IV. See you on the flip side!

Babarella sent you a hug.

Jennifer, I hope you came through everything ok. A very good friend of mine your age had a double mastectomy after losing her mother and aunt to breast cancer. She and her sisters all have the BRCA2 mutation. She has two wonderful kids and a great husband. I would not have known if she had not told me, but she is very open, like you, and full of life. I am grateful for her presence in my life, as I’m sure your friends and family are. Keep up the fight!
Remember the song, waking up is hard to do. You will be groggy but we will all be standing here clapping for you. When you wake up you will be on the other side of this crazy but necessary operation. Bravo for you. This is the right thing for you to do, to ensure a happy and healthy life to spend with your children and husband. Keep us posted, your doing a great job at that. XXOO

Lumps on breast. Breast feeling like it was lactating or tingly. Nipple tingles and sometimes feeling like sharp pains through nipple.
